PATHS Bake Sale - Our parent organization will hold a bake sale during Parent Teacher Conferences again in March and are asking for your help.  All proceeds from the bake sale will go toward the funding of elementary field trips.  We need items to sell as well as volunteers to work the bake sale.  The attached form is also being sent home with all students.  We ask that if you are willing to donate your time and/or baked goods that you complete the form and return it to school byFebruary 9th.  If you have any questions please contact Jennifer Lash at jlash@humboldt.k12.ia.us.  Thank you for your support.  

Preschool Dental Screenings - Webster County Health Department and Building Families will be offering free screenings to children during class time on February 9th.  Permission slips have been sent home with all preschool students.  If you did not get one please contact the office.  If you wish for your child to receive the screening and fluoride please return the consent form back to school by this Friday, February 3rd.  They cannot screen your child without your permission.  If you have any questions please contact Cindy Partlow at Webster Co. Kindergarten Round Up will be held at Mease Elementary on Friday, March 17th.  Children must be five years old by September 15, 2017 to be eligible for kindergarten.  Current Mease students will not have school on March 17th to allow EC-4 and EC-5 students to participate in Round Up, as well as for our kindergarten staff to be involved in the day.  If you have any questions please contact Principal Bruder or Mrs. Thomas at 515-332-3578.  

Free Workshop for Parents -The Behavior Doctor is in!!!  All parents are invited to attend a free session with Behavior Doctor, Dr. Laura Riffel on Monday, February 13th from 6-7 p.m. at 800 North 32nd Street in Fort Dodge.  Dr. Riffel will offer tools and strategies to help with behavior at home. She will show parents how to take a targeted behavior and determine what is the trigger of that behavior and what your child is trying to communicate by having that behavior. She will also show you how to develop a plan to magically make the behavior disappear. Free child care will be offered. Registration is needed to assist with planning and coverage for this. More details, including registration, available at https://www.smore.com/ef4a1. The event is jointly sponsored by Fort Dodge Community Schools and Prairie Lakes AEA. 

Community Days Coupon Booklets - the After School Program is selling Younkers coupon booklets.  They are available in both elementary school offices.  For a $5.00 donation you will get a booklet full of coupon savings of up to $500.  The coupons will be valid from Thursday, February 23 to Saturday, February 25.   They are valid in store or online. Thank you for supporting our After School Program. 

Music Booster Calendar Correction - This calendar shows no school on February 17 and 24.  This is in error.  There IS school on February 17 and 24.  You may view the school calendar online at www.humboldt.k12.ia.us by clicking on the calendar tab then click on school year on the home page.  

All Kindergarten Students need to have a vision screening completed by February 2017.  If you haven't gotten your child screened yet please request a form from our school nurse or get the printable form at http://idph.iowa.gov/family-health/child-health/vision-screening.  Take the form with you when they get their vision checked and return the completed form to school.  If you have any questions please contact the school nurse, Mrs. Hardgrove, at chardgrove@humboldt.k12.ia.us
