Be sure to stop by the Book Fair Thursday night during Literacy Night from 5:30-7:30 at Taft. You can also shop the Book Fair online!  The web address is    Just type in our zip code (50548) and choose Taft Elementary. Scroll to the bottom of the page and choose “Shop Now”.  The book fair will allow us to get new books for both Mease and Taft Elementary. Elementary Yearbooks Are Here!  We will distribute yearbooks TODAY.  Parents can pick up pre-ordered yearbooks at either school from 3:15 - 3:30.  If you prefer to have your child's yearbook sent home with them please contact the school secretary to do so.  We ordered a limited number of extra yearbooks which will be sold for $10.00 each while supplies last.  These extras are available in both elementary offices.

CORRECTION - National Bike to School Day is May 10th (not May 6th).  If you would like to ride your bike to Taft Elementary with Mr. Bruder and some other adults please join them at John Brown Park by 7:30 .m..  Mease students who choose to participate in the ride will need to have a parent ride along.  

On Thursday, April 27th from 5:30-7:30 at Taft Elementary, PATHS will be hosting our annual Literacy and Family Fun Night. Suggested free will admission is one Box Top per person. The evening will include: $2 hot dog meal with chips, cookie and drink (bottled water courtesy of Fareway and Hy-Vee), Book-a-neer theme book fair, pirate themed crafts and activities, HEA book walk, ELL bingo and Title 1 reading room, prize book bags and improv. Volunteers are always welcome. Please contact any PATHS member, school secretary or Emily Lynch at if you could help with this family fun night! Our schools are still collecting Box Tops. Please continue to send in any you have collected during the year for our schools to get credit. We use this money to help fund field trips and educational experiences for our students.  Thank you for your support!

HHS Baseball Apparel - Attached is information about ordering baseball clothing for anyone interested.  Order Deadline is May 5.

Preschool Spring Program is May 16th at 6:00 p.m. in the High School Auditorium.  The teachers will be sending a note home with students with more information regarding this program. 

T-ball Sign Up - children ages 4 years old thru current kindergarten students can sign up to play T-ball through the Humboldt Park & Rec Dept..  Registration forms have been sent home with all Mease students.  If you did not get a copy contact the office.  Registration is due to the Parks & Rec. Dept. by May 19th.
