Tonight is the first night of parent teacher conferences. here are a few things to remember: 

  • Report cards will be sent home with students today; please review them prior to your conference.

  • If you cannot make your scheduled time please contact your child's teacher ASAP so the meeting can be rescheduled.

  • Visit the PATHS Bake Sale which will be held tonight at both Mease and Taft.

  • Flu Shot Clinic will be held at Taft and the Middle School during conferences today and Thursday.

  • Pick up SCRIP gift cards if you ordered them from PATHS

  • Check the lost and found for any items your child is missing.

  • The office will be open during conferences.  You can make payments on lunch accounts or other fees owed at this time.  If you do not have parent portal and would like to gain access please stop by to get instructions.

Upcoming Community Events on October 31 



Thank you to the Chamber of Commerce and the Humboldt  Police Department for the trick or treat bags and pencils given to all of the students.  They remind you to stay safe while trick or treating by wearing light or reflective clothing, carrying a flashlight and watching for cars.  Also go out with family and friends and have parents check your treats for your safety.

Light Sticks - will be distributed to students today.

Lifetouch School Pictures have been sent home with all students.  If your child was absent on picture day they will be photographed on Retake Day which is scheduled for Tuesday, November 14th.  If you would like to have your child's picture retaken you must return the entire contents of the packet to school before November 14th.  Please note that the class composite picture will be delivered separately at a later date (after retake day).  If you have any problems with the prints please contact Lifetouch directly at 1-800-529-3039.

Pancake Day- November 17th will be Pancake Day at Taft.  Our local Lions Club will be preparing pancakes for all of our students. Students will have pancakes, sausage, hash browns, juice and milk for lunch.   If you want to join your child for lunch that day please contact the office by 9:00 a.m. to order a tray.

After School Program- there is NO ASP on Wednesday, November 22nd due to the two hour early dismissal.

SCHOOL DELAYS, EARLY OUTS, CANCELLATIONS - you should be getting a phone call, text or email depending on how your have your parent account set up in Parent Portal.  We also use the following means to communicate to the public.  Radio stations FM 97.7, FM 94.5 and FM 96.9 and TV WHO Channel 13.  We also have the school hotline that you can call at any time 332-9700.
