As with all co-curricular activities, the Humboldt girls track and field program works to prepare its participants for experiences later in life. Through participation and competition in practice, in individual events and relays, girls will learn how to deal with successes and disappointments and will experience the interdependence and camaraderie necessary for a team to function.  Track and field offer events for a variety of abilities such as strength, speed, and endurance.  The track and field program works to develop a strong work ethic and to improve each individual athletically to help them be successful in other sports as well as track and field.

Girls track provides the opportunity for interscholastic competition in the sport of track and field.  This program is a combined junior varsity/varsity sport for the girls in grades 9-12.
