Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress
New Iowa Assessments
In the Spring of 2019 all Iowa 3rd-11th grade students took a new computerized annual assessment called the Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP). These new assessments are better aligned with the Iowa Core standards and provide a clear and accurate assessment of student learning outcomes.Student growth, proficiency and readiness indicators are reported. On November 4, 2019 the Iowa Department of Education released the results to Iowa Schools. Along with a mesurement of how we are meeting the Iowa Core we also utilize the results to determine individual student needs, group progress, and any adjustments in curriculum and/or instruction that need to occur. Overall we are pleased with our “first-time” performance on this test. See our School Summary Graphs.
The new assessments were administered between March and May 2019 and are now available in online and paper formats. The grade levels, tests, and recommended administration times are provided below:
