  • Congratulations to the FFA team who competed at the National Barrow Show and placed 14th as a team out of 60 teams. The team consisted of Michael Illg, Daniel Illg, Kaleb McCullough, and Jack Ophiem. Also, congratulations to Erin Wittrock on getting third in the state in Milk Quality and Products last Friday in West Union.Great Job FFA Members!
  • Everyday Study Hall forms are on the table outside of the office. If you need to request everyday study hall, complete the form and return to the tray on the table.
  • Do you want to help support a good cause?  Want a cool shirt too?  Click the link below to help support Mrs. Lane's fight against cancer.  Her fight is our fight!  T-shirts and Hoodies are available.   All ordering is online.  Please select "In Store Pick up." Delivery and distribution of all shirts will be at the high school at the beginning of October, just in time to wear for Breast Cancer month.  Need more info, contact Mrs. Myers.  Deadline for ordering is Sept. 24.

King Candidates: Jackson Fischer, Carter Hatcher, Jacob Heier, Hayden Holm, Caden Matson, Luke Sievers 

Members of the court will be recognized during half time of the game on Friday night.

  • Dress Up days: All days must follow dress code handbook Monday: Camo Day, Tuesday (school picture day): Country or Country Club, Wednesday (no school) , Thursday: PJ, Friday: Blue and Gold day
  • Thursday, September 23-
    • 5:30  Hometown Homecoming Event-Get your homecoming party supplies!!! Businesses will have beads, tattoos, clothing, cups and more available for purchase.Food vendors will be on main street. Hot dogs, Burrito Mexpress, Kettle Korn.
    • 6:30  Homecoming Parade-Line the streets to see our Wildcat sports teams, homecoming court, Wildcat Marching Band and other fun parade entries!!! Elementary students should be supervised by parent/guardian
    • 7:30 Coronation in the High School gym (free will donation)
    • 9:00-10:00 Seniors and Juniors Only decorate campus. All seniors and juniors will meet in the gym following coronation. All other students will be sent home. Streamers and window paint can be purchased at V&S—only school colors will be allowed for decorating trees on campus.
  • Friday, September 24
    • Mini Assemblies at Taft, Mease, St. Mary’s and Bode  
    • High school Pep Assembly at 2:45pm  
    • 7:00 PM Homecoming Football Game vs Ballard
    • Homecoming Dance and Black Light Dodge ball following the game until 11:30. The dance and dodge ball game are for HIGH SCHOOL students only. NO OUT town of guests. $5 admission.
  • Forget to order last year's 2021 Yearbook? A few extras were ordered in and are for sale for $50. First come, first serve. Email Mrs. K at to claim one. 
  • School pictures will be taken at the high school on Tuesday, September 21. September 27 parents will receive a link from Midwest Photo to view and order pictures.
  • 31st Annual Golden Circle College & Career Fair-Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021,12:30 p.m. – 3 p.m.
    Prairie Meadows Conference Center Altoona (next to Adventureland) Prairie Meadows requires masks inside the facility. This is the largest, most diverse fair in the state and a great opportunity for high school students of all ages to get started in their post-high school discussions. With more than 100 exhibiting colleges, universities, business, and industry leaders, career, and student service organizations, the Golden Circle College and Career Fair provide a full spectrum of planning tools, resources, and institutions for any prospective or current college student. Register for your barcode by using the link below
  • College representatives will be in our building to visit with our juniors and seniors. This is a great opportunity for students to receive information about the college and ask questions.
    • Oct. 5 Ellsworth College
    • Oct. 26 at 10:30 Central College

Interested students need to sign up on the table outside the high school office. Please make prior arrangements with teachers for missed classes.
