  • Homecoming is September 30th.
    • Our dress up days this year will be Merica Monday, Tropical Tuesday, Woke up like this Wednesday, Adam Sandler Thursday and Blue and Gold Friday.
    • Thursday Thrill Volleyball Tournament sign up and Friday night Dodgeball tournament sign up will remain open until Friday September 23rd at 4pm.
    • The Homecoming parade will take place downtown Humboldt with food and wildcat gear starting at 5:30. The parade will begin at 6:30pm.
    • Coronation will be held in the High School gym, following the parade at 7:30pm.
    • Thursday Thrill will be from 8:00pm to 10:15pm on the Baseball outfield for Humboldt High school students only.
    • Friday, September 30th , we will have a pep assembly at the end of the day.
    • Then come support your wildcats at the game at 7:00pm.
    • Following the game will be the Homecoming dance and Dodge ball tournament in the high school gym and cafeteria. Admission is $5 please no out of town guests. Friday night events will end at 11:30pm.
  • The Humboldt Dance Team will be hosting 'fill the truck events' over the next couple of weeks.
    • At the volleyball game on September 27th from 5-7:30pm we will be set up at the high school near the back cafeteria/gym doors. We will be collecting new/gently used blankets for animal shelters and homeless shelters.
    • At the Homecoming football game on September 30th from 6-7:45pm we will be set up at the high school between the admission gate and concession stand. We will be collecting clothing and food items for people in need.
    • At all of these events, we will also have a bucket for monetary donations. The final proceeds from the collection bucket will be split between Moffitt, Peace Creak, and Lazy J Rescues. Several dance teams across the state participated in events like this last year. Humboldt was able to raise more money than any other team in the state! Follow the Humboldt High School Dance Team on Facebook to stay updated on the results from these community based fundraisers :)
  • Silver Cord Opportunity--The Museum is looking for volunteer actors/actresses for the Murder Mystery Ball on  Saturday, October 8thl. This event was created for the spooky season and for visitors to solve the mystery case at the Museum. Please contact Erica Knudson at the museum if you are interested.   • Any sophomore or junior interested in taking the PSAT exam should sign up in the office. The deadline to register is Friday, September 30th.  The exam will be given on Wednesday, October 12th. The cost to take the exam is $18.00. Students who score high on the PSAT as juniors could qualify for a National Merit Scholarship. If you have any questions about the exam, please see Ms. Westerhoff in the counselor's office.
  • Iowa Central will be holding a College Fair for juniors and seniors next Thursday, September 29th from 9:00 to 10:30 am in the Career Education Building. Over 50 colleges, business schools, and Armed Forces areas will be represented. If you would like to attend the College Fair, you will need to have a parent or guardian call the school prior to the 29th. If you have any questions about this event, please see Ms. Westerhoff in the counseling office.
  • CATS Time-students should select their CATs for Monday on Friday and select Thursday’s CATS on Wednesday. They shouldn't choose for Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Fridays.
  • Students, please do not park in the staff parking spots next to the sidewalk in the back parking lot.  Students who do so may face a parking fine and/or loss of parking privileges.
  • If you would be willing to assist a community member moving some boxes, please see Emily in the office for the contact information.
  • FCA (Fellow of Christian Athletes) will meet on Wednesdays at 6:15pm at The Beach's House (44 Rainbow Dr. in Humboldt).  There will be a light supper, fellowship time, and a bible lesson.  Would love to have you join us and bring a friend! If you need a ride, let Mrs. Beach know and transportation can be arranged!
  • Wildcat Warrior’s Game Club will meet every Monday in the media center from 3:30-5:30. Dungeons and Dragons, Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan, RoboRally, Splendor and many more…Bring a new game to teach or come and learn a new game. See Mr. Lauger or Skyler Nielsen for more information.
