  • There will be an admissions advisor from Central College of Pella in the office on Wednesday from 1:50-2:20 to meet with any juniors or seniors interested in learning more about Central.
  • Spanish Club is hosting Winter Formal on Saturday, December 17th from 8PM to 11PM in the high school cafeteria.  Tickets will be available for purchase during all lunch waves starting December 5th.  Tickets are $5 in advance and $6 at the door.  Any student wanting to bring an out of town guest needs to sign up their guest in the high school office by Thursday, December 15th.  All non-Humboldt guests must have a photo ID to be allowed in the dance.   Nice dresses, button down shirt and slacks, or "formal attire" is welcome.  No jeans.  TRE Photo will be at the dance for professional photos.   • The Humboldt Dance Team will be competing at the Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Championships competition in Des Moines this week. Soloists will perform on Thursday December 1st from 9:42-9:55am and again at 6:02pm in HyVee Hall C. The team performs in Wells Fargo with their pom routine facing East at 2:50pm and their jazz routine facing West at 4:09pm. On Friday December 2nd the team performs in Wells Fargo with their kick routine facing west at 1:28pm. Admission is $15/day. Tickets can be purchased in advance online or at the door.   • The Football Banquet will be this Sunday, December 4, at 6:30 p.m. in the HS cafeteria. All football players and their families are welcome to attend. Please bring two dishes to share potluck style and your own table service. Lemonade and water will be provided.
  • Cat Cafe Special Offer for December:  Buy ONE, Get ONE half off on all Smoothies, Lattes, and Spritzers.  Get your friend their favorite drink every Friday morning in December.  Specialty drinks are included!
  • 9th grade parents –All freshmen are required to have a dental screening. Please send a copy of a dental screening to the school (if they have had a screening done)It can be dated any time after September 1st, 2021 to present day.
  • Click on the following link for scholarship opportunities.  Scholarships  The link should be working now. This link will be updated as additional scholarship opportunities are available.
  • During the fall of a student’s senior year, parents and students should fill out the Free Application For Student Aid (FAFSA). This will determine the amount and type of aid each student will be eligible for (federal grants, work-study, and loans, all in one application). This should be completed by January of the year they need the aid. If it is not completed by this time, students may miss out on the opportunity for any aid package. If you have any questions about filing for the FAFSA, please feel free to contact Ms. Westerhoff.
  • CATS Time-students should select their CATs for Monday on Friday and select Thursday’s CATS on Wednesday. They shouldn't choose for Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Fridays. Seniors have open campus during CATS—unless a teacher has selected you to be in their CATS, then you must report to that teacher.
  • FCA (Fellow of Christian Athletes) will meet on Wednesdays at 6:15pm at The Beach's House (44 Rainbow Dr. in Humboldt).  There will be a light supper, fellowship time, and a bible lesson.  Would love to have you join us and bring a friend! If you need a ride, let Mrs. Beach know and transportation can be arranged!
  • Wildcat Warrior’s Game Club will meet every Monday in the media center from 3:30-5:30. Dungeons and Dragons, Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan, RoboRally, Splendor and many more…Bring a new game to teach or come and learn a new game.
  • Regarding live streaming of winter sports activities from Greg Thomas--When/if  I receive livestreaming and/or ticket information from schools we are traveling to, I will put that information on our rSchool Activities Calendar.   It will show up as a ticket icon and a film projector icon on that calendar.  You can simply click on the icon and it will take you to those links.  Please visit this website for the most up-to-date livestream and ticketing info:   Scroll down to Monday, Nov. 21st (Girls BB @ Gilbert) for an example of what this looks like.If there are no links there, we haven't received any info from the host school. Another good thing to do is visit the host school's website for this information.  Feel free to share this with family, friends and community members.
