  • Congrats to our HHS Volleyball team in the victory last night. We will play Forest City on Thursday at Forest City.  Tickets on Bound

The regular season finale and senior night is this Friday against Webster City, with kickoff scheduled for 7 pm.

  • Boys basketball players will be ordering shooting shirts this year.  Information can be found on the team REMIND. If you are not part of the team REMIND, contact Coach Thurm.
  • There will be no off-season lifting on Thursday this week due to parent-teacher conferences.
  • There will be a girls wrestling parent meeting on 10/31 at 6:00 in the Middle School cafeteria.

  • The parent performance for The Music Man will be held on Tuesday, October 29. Please note the date change.
  • There will be a Halloween Costume Dance on October 25th after the home football game featuring DJ Chrizzler Carl. The student section theme that night is “wear your Halloween costume,” so keep it on and head over to the cafeteria 15 minutes after the game ends. Entrance is $5 and the dance ends at 11:30pm. Costumes must be dress-code appropriate.

  • FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) welcomes all students, not just athletes. FCA will meet every other Sunday at Mrs. Beach’s home (201 12th St SW, Humboldt) 6:00-7:30. A light meal will be provided with fellowship time.  The meeting dates for this fall are:  10/20, 11/3, 11/17, 12/1 and 12/15. If you have any questions, contact Mrs. Beach. 

Dear High School Students,

Our School Board Members and district administrators strongly believe in shared leadership and decision-making. Once again, we invite a high school student to serve on our school board from December 16, 2024 through July 2025. We need student board members who are able to communicate and relate with ALL student groups, grades, and staff members.

Eligibility and duties:

  • board meetings are typically the third Monday evening at 5:30 each month. Attendance is important.
  • be a full-time high school student in the district 
  • participate in an orientation of board responsibilities and procedures as determined by the Superintendent; 
  • participate in the discussion, but not vote, at all regular board meetings held in open session;
  • facilitate communication between the board and student body
  • assist with gathering survey and stakeholder information
  • participate in district committees
  • abide by all applicable sections of the Board Members’ Code of Ethics
