A pair of tortoise shell framed eyeglasses were found after dance team night. They are a smaller frame so may belong to an elementary student. The glasses may be claimed at the middle school office.
After School Program has openings. This program is for preschool through 4th grade students and is housed at Taft Elementary. Please contact Cadie Arends at email@example.com or by cell at 515-890-1014.
Humboldt Parks & Rec Outdoor Soccer registration forms are being sent home with all Taft students. The season starts April 18th and registrations are due to the Rec Center by April 5th.
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held February 25th and 27th from 4:00 - 7:30 p.m.. In most cases your scheduled time will be the same as last fall. Notes are being sent home with all elementary students confirming your appointed time. If you need to make a change please contact your child’s classroom teacher directly.
Warm the Heart Food Drive- remember you can bring donations to school for this drive anytime from now until February 11th. We will deliver the donated items to Humboldt County Public Health on February 12th. Please open the attached flyer for more information on this wonderful community project. Below are the suggested items of need which are also listed on the flyer. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
ANY non-food basic essentials such as toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, laundry soap, dish soap, deodorant. Food items in need such as canned chicken/ham/tuna, canned fruit/vegetables, instant potatoes, Hamburger Helper, peanut butter, jelly. (Please, no expired items or items with a broken seal.)
Elementary Yearbooks - You can order an elementary yearbook for your child now through February 27th. The cost is $17.00. Checks should be made payable to Humboldt Schools or you can pay with cash. Some parents ordered these at registration in August. You can check your receipt or parent portal to see if you already have one on order. If you want to order online please contact your school's secretary to add the fee onto your child's account so you can make a payment online. This yearbook will include all elementary students from both Mease and Taft Elementary. They will be distributed later this spring.
Reminder: If there is a late start on a Wednesday due to weather, we will not have an early out that day. We will release at the usual times as on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
