A Day – Day 5 band-choir lessons
- Humboldt County Historical Museum is offering three summers programs. The first is a youth history club, second is Laura Ingalls Wilder program, and the third is Golden Days of Youth schoolhouse program. Stop in the office for information.
- Eighth grade baseball players will have a hitting practice today in the MPR from 5:15-6:15.
- The first of four Transitions to high school meetings for 8th grade studenets will be held tonight. See your email for more information.
- To help make our schools and community a safer place for everyone, HCSD has decided to purchase an anonymous tip line called Safe Schools Hotline which will have a soft roll out this week. (see additional information below). Information will be posted in hallways this week.
Parents: We are in need of volunteers for our MS boys (April 13) and MS girls (April 22) track meets. Meets start at 4:30 PM. If interested in helping out, email Greg Thomas at gthomas@humboldt.k12.ia.us.

The 24/7 Safe School Helpline
The reports are sent to admin and/or counselors either by phone or email depending on the severity. They also are able to alert the LEC in heightened situations such as suicide, safety, etc. follow up questions. Reports are monitored 24/7. They transcribe the tips as they come in and follow up immediately in emergency situations. It is important to note they also allow and ASIST Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is an intensive, interactive, and practice-dominated course designed to help caregivers recognize and review risk, and intervene to prevent the immediate risk of suicide. It is by far the most widely used, acclaimed, and researched suicide intervention training workshop in the world. Our counseling organization itself is also CARF accredited which is the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities. http://www.carf.org/
