  • CONGRATULATIONS Wildcat boys basketball team and coaches on their win over Spencer last night—ON TO STATE!!
  • Humboldt High School  had a great day at District Individual Speech Events. Our students walked away with 12 I’s and 5 II’s. The following students will be going on to State: Kaitlyn Thompson, Sarah Numedahl, Ryder Wickett, Brody Paterson, Ashley Carfajal, Oswaldo Vazquez, Elle Clark, Collin Vik, Taryn McKimmey, Jackson Fischer and Sam Numedahl. Congratulations to all!
  • Congrats to Ava McIntire on placing 1st in Prepared Public Speaking and Mason Wardell in placing 1st in Ag Sales in the subdistrct FFA competition. This allows them to advance to the district competition on March 5th. Also, Good luck to Tricia Kellner and Caden Roe as they run for North Central District FFA officer positions. Good luck to our FFA members competing this weekend at North Central District Convention. 
  • Next week you can donate money to the food pantry by putting money in your favorite teacher or staff members jar at lunch. Whatever teacher has the most money in their jar at the end of the week will be pied in the face on Pi day.
  • There will be a girls soccer meeting for anyone interested in going out for soccer on Wednesday right after school in Mr Mooney's room.   Be there or be square.
  • High Scholl Boys Soccer Meeting will be after school on Wednesday, March 2nd in the PLTW Room.
  • There will be a GSA Meeting on today in the Auditorium lobby
  • Try-outs for the dance team for next season are coming up and are open to 8th-11th grade students. The try-out routine will be taught March 7th from 3:30-5:30pm in the middle school gym. Try-outs will be March 11th from 3:30-5:30pm in the middle school gym. 
  • Iowa Central’s fall enrollment for classes is now open.  Students can take advantage of a few different programs.  See Mrs. Powers if you are interested
    • CAREER ACADEMY – Attend in the morning for half a day for both semesters.  Enroll in one of the 7 academies (Teacher, Liberal Arts, Engineering, Computer Science, Health Occupations, Business, Manufacturing) and attend classes surrounding high school students at Eagle Grove campus (school provides transportation).  Students can earn up to 18 college credits each year. 
    •  TRITON ACADEMY – This is a new two-semester program for HS students.  Students will either attend the Ft. Dodge Campus or virtually in several career paths along with other high school and college students.  This too is a half-day program in the morning.  Students can earn up to 18 college credits.          
    • ONLINE CLASS- Students can sign up for one online college class to fill in a period of their schedule here at the high school.  Students may earn 2-4 college credits, depending on the course.
  • HHS will be celebrating Pi Day on Monday, March 14th.  Math dept is looking for people to donate pies and workers to help cut and serve the pies.  Pies need to be nut free.  Please, no pies that need refrigeration as we won’t have a place to keep them.  Pies need to be at the HS by noon on Monday, March 14th.
  • SOUNDSATIONS AUDITIONS today from 3:30-5:30.  Sign up for an audition spot on the choral music bulletin board.
  • FCA – Wednesdays at Mrs. Beach’s house (44 Rainbow Drive) at 6:15.  Would love to have you join us for a light meal and time in the Word!
  • WILDCAT WARRIOR’S GAME CLUB – We will be meeting every Monday in the media center from 3:30-5:30.  Bring a new game to teach or come and learn a new game.  See Mr. Lauger for more information.
  • CAT CAFÉ PUNCH CARDS are available for purchase in the high school office.  Cost is $10 for $11 worth of punches.  The Cat Café will hold your card for you, so you’ll always have funds for your favorites!!
