    • Wednesday 10-21  Regional Cross Country @ Spencer 4:00
  • We are excited to host the 1st round of the 3A IHSAA Football playoffs
    • Friday, October 16 Humboldt vs Bishop Heelan (Sioux City)7:00 PM Kickoff
    • $6 Admission for everyone K-Adults
    • Gates open at 6:00 PM.
    • No passes will be honored since this is an IHSAA sponsored event.
    • Concessions will be provided by the Humboldt Music Boosters.
    • Social Distancing is expected (6' from anyone not in your immediate family).Masks are highly recommended.
    • At no time should elementary or MS aged students be playing football or other games.  We ask you to come and cheer on the Wildcats!
    • Sportsmanship is our #1 Priority.  Cheer in a positive manner.
  • We are excited to host the 1st and 2nd round of the 3A IGHSAU volleyball regionals Monday, Oct. 19th and Wednesday, Oct. 21st.  Both contests begin at 7:00. 
    • Monday, Oct. 19th:  Humboldt vs. Algona  and Wednesday, Oct. 21st:-Humboldt/Algona winner vs. Southeast Valley/Greene County winner
    • $6 Admission for everyone K-Adults
    • Doors open at 6:00 PM.

  • Applications are still being accepted for a Student member of the Humboldt School Board. The form has been sent to student emails. This is a great opportunity for you to represent the student body.
  • If you use the blue masks provided on the tables each day, please return the masks at the end of the day so they may be laundered. If you have any that you have not returned, please put them in the basket on the table at the door. Thanks!
  • All underclassmen were provided a “Wildcat Strong” mask. Please remember to bring your mask from home. Seniors-if you did not receive a “Wildcat Strong” mask and would like one, please stop in the office during the mornings while Emily is here. All students are encouraged to bring a mask from home.
  • Baseball pitchers and catchers in grades 8-12 team long toss session Saturday at 11:00. The session will last approximately 45 minutes and is voluntary.
  • The Humboldt Music Boosters will hold their monthly meeting on Monday, October 19th at 6:30 PM. The meeting will be held in the High School Media Center. All parents of Music Parents are welcome to attend.
  • Badger Library L.E.A.P.-a volunteer support program assisting in the daily operation, events planning activities and fundraising.  Our purpose is to support the library with unique and creative individuals that aid in the growth of the library.  L.E.A.P. (Leadership Events, Activity Program) mission is to create a stable volunteer base in which the library can draw on for assistance with events clubs and programs within the Badger Public Library. Any students 16 or older who might be interested in L.E.A.P.--please call 515.545.4793 or emailbadgerpubliclibraryleapprogram@gmail.com.
  •  Rec Center Jobs Available:  Any high school basketball players that are willing to help coach and ref youth rec league basketball, please contact Paxton Petersen at the Rec Center.  You would get paid $10/hr and it would be Saturday mornings or weeknights after practice. This can also be used for silver cord hours instead of being paid. If you are interested stop at the Rec Center or contact Paxton Petersen at 515-890-1269.
  • Fall Play-The Wonderful World of Oz will be performed on November 6 & 7.
  • Manufacturing Month--On Oct 26 from 1:30pm to 2:30pm Nestle Purina out of the Fort Dodge location will be providing us a virtual tour of their factory and answering questions afterwards via zoom.

  • If you need or want help filling out the financial aid form (FAFSA), we will host a virtual event on Oct. 22 from 4-8 pm. Please RSVP by Oct 20th by calling the high school office 515.332.1430 and to choose your time slot. We will have two times available every hour. These sessions will take place via zoom. If you need consistent internet, you may come to the high school for your reserved time.
