  • Freshman boys basketball meeting on Monday, November 7 right after school in Coach Thurm’s room. Please bring computer and phone. Coach Savery is still looking for a manager, if you are interested, please contact Coach Savery at
  • There will be a meeting for anyone interested in basketball or wrestling cheerleading on Monday November 7th at 3:45 in the HS Media Center. Tryout practice Wednesday November 9th 3:45-6:00. Try-outs Thursday November 10th at 4:00.
  • Still time to see the Fall Musical, Into the Woods. There will be two shows on Saturday, Nov 5th at 2:00 and 7:00 pm. Tickets are available in the office and will also be available at the door. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students. Due to Football Playoffs, tickets purchased for Friday's performance are moved to a Saturday Matinee at 2:00 pm.  Break a Leg!!!
  • PE Opt Out Activity Logs need to be completed by anyone that has opted out of PE (exception would be varsity football) These logs need to record activity each week from the time your fall activity ends until your winter activity begins. Forms are available outside of the office.
  • Any boy interested in high school swimming at Ft. Dodge, please see Mr. Thomas ASAP.
  • If you are a senior, during CATS time you have open campus UNLESS a teacher has selected you to meet with them during this time. If you are selected and don't attend you will be marked absent. 
  • Senior pictures (digital copies, please) are due to Mrs. K by the end of the Thanksgiving Break. Please contact her if there will be issues getting those in by the deadline. Send photos to
  • The Humboldt Rec Department is looking to hire referees to officiate upcoming youth sport seasons. No experience is required, and training will be provided. Officials will be needed for various sports, including basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, volleyball and flag football. The Rec Department is looking for reliable individuals that are available to officiate multiple seasons throughout the year. This is a great way to give back to the community while being compensated for your time! If you are interested, email Zach Smith ( or call the Humboldt Rec Center (515-604-6494).
  • Special Olympics Apparel: The ordering window closes November 11th! Make sure to read ALL the info on the page as it gives you options for personalizing your clothes and also to make sure you do not get charged shipping!  
  • Boys Wrestling--Parents-we will have a preseason parent meeting on November 11 in MS cafeteria. 
  • Boys wrestling and boys basketball practices will begin on November 14.
  • Cross Country Banquet will be Tuesday, November 8 at 6:30 in the high school cafeteria.
  • Volleyball banquet will be Sunday, November 13 at 1:00 in the high school cafeteria.
  • Triton Visit Day at ICCC will be held on November 11th from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm for juniors, seniors, and parents. ICCC will be giving away three full tuition scholarships as well as other giveaways. If you are interested in attending the visit day, you can register at  Students planning on attending this event will need to have a parent call the school prior to November 11th and plan on returning to school when the visit day is over.
  • Ms. Westerhoff will be having senior interviews from 1:00 until 3:00 each afternoon until interviews are completed. If you need to contact Ms. Westerhoff anytime after 1:00 pm, please send her an email. If it is an emergency, please come to the office.
  • Iowa State University will have an admissions rep at the high school on Monday, November 7, at 9:15 to meet with any interested juniors and seniors. If you would like to meet with the college rep to learn more about Iowa State, please sign up in the office.
  • FCA (Fellow of Christian Athletes) will meet on Wednesdays at 6:15pm at The Beach's House (44 Rainbow Dr. in Humboldt).  There will be a light supper, fellowship time, and a bible lesson.  Would love to have you join us and bring a friend! If you need a ride, let Mrs. Beach know and transportation can be arranged!

  • CATS Time-students should select their CATs for Monday on Friday and select Thursday’s CATS on Wednesday. They shouldn't choose for Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Fridays.
  • Wildcat Warrior’s Game Club will meet every Monday in the media center from 3:30-5:30. Dungeons and Dragons, Ticket to Ride, Settlers of Catan, RoboRally, Splendor and many more…Bring a new game to teach or come and learn a new game. See Mr. Lauger or Skyler Nielsen for more information.
