  • All students interested in Individual speech should plan to attend a preseason meeting on Monday, February 3 at 3:30 in the Little Aud. Students who are not in group are most cordially invited.
  • Afterprom is hosting Taco Tuesday and will be serving soft and hard shell tacos from Taco Tico on Tuesday Feb 4 during the home basketball games.  We will be set up by 6:00 and serve until gone.  Free will donation to support Afterprom.   
  • Mease & Taft Elementary School Personnel and PATHS have joined efforts to promote a wonderful community project.  Please open the attached flyer.   We are reaching out to parents, grandparents, students and friends to join us to help contribute to the Annual Warm the Heart Food Drive.  We have set the dates for items to be delivered to Mease or Taft Schools from February 3-11.  Once all the items are gathered, we will make arrangements to have the donated items delivered to Humboldt County Public Health on February 12.  Below are the suggested items of need which are also listed on the flyer.   Thank you in advance for your generosity.  ANY non-food basic essentials such as toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, laundry soap, dish soap, deodorant. Food items in need such as canned chicken/ham/tuna, canned fruit/vegetables, instant potatoes, Hamburger Helper, peanut butter, jelly.  (Please, no expired items or items with a broken seal.)
  • SENIORS- ICAN is hosting The Scholarship Process on Tuesday, February 4 at 5:30 pm. This online presentation can be viewed on any device from the comfort of their home or office. The presentation will be live and the attendee can ask questions (typing or talking) to ICAN Student Success Advisor Mary Joan Dougherty as she presents. Join us for a discussion of the scholarship process – everything from where to look for scholarships, standard application expectations, how to write essays, and how to improve your applications. We’ll share examples and resources, and walk you through the scholarship timeline from start to finish. Register
  • ICAN will be live-streaming a presentation, Life After High School: Career and College Planning seminar on February 6 at 6 pm from any device. The presentation will be live and the attendee can ask questions (typing or talking) to ICAN Student Success Advisor Steve Irvin as he presents.   • Iowa Methodist Foundation Scholarship-There is only one month left to get applications submitted for Iowa United Methodist Foundation scholarships. We have over 100 scholarships to give out for the 2020-2021 school year. The deadline for applications is Sunday,    March 1.  Apply
  • Imagine America Scholarships--Imagine America Scholarships is a program that offers scholarships to high school seniors or recent graduates planning to attend a career school participating in the Imagine America High School Scholarship Program. (Participating career schools are listed at
  • Upper Des Moines Opportunity is hosting a Suit and Gown town for PROM event on Saturday, February 8, 2020, from 9- noon at UMDO 1235 1st Ave S in Fort Dodge. You can browse what they have and dressing rooms are available.
  • ASVAB assessment- Another career tool available to our students. We will be administering the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) to students interested. These tests are designed to measure aptitudes in four domains: Verbal, Math, Science and Technical, and Spatial. The program provides tools to help students learn more about career exploration and planning, in both the civilian and military worlds of work. The ASVAB will be administered at the high school on February 12, 2020, from 12:00-3:00. Interested students should sign up in the office. We need at least 5 students to offer the test.
  • You’re Invited to the 2020 STEM Fair Hosted by the Iowa National Guard. This is an opportunity to explore careers in Technology, Mechanics,  Medical Transportation,  Culinary,  Communications. The fairs are from  9 am-2 pm at the various locations: February 11th: Ft.   • Iowa Central Community College invites students for the Jam-the-Gym and Triton Visit Day on Saturday, February 15, 2020, Starting at 9 am with the games to follow at 1 and 3 pm. Admission is free along with a t-shirt and a chance to win other great prizes. RSVP at for the visit day. No need to register if you plan to attend only the games.
