  • It was another amazing Speech Saturday at District Individual Contest at Manson. Students who received Division One ratings were : Megan Abens in Public Address and Solo Musical Theatre, Hailey Box in Acting and Solo Musical Theatre, Kosett Burmeister in Improv and Poetry, Madolyn Dahl in Poetry and Prose, Donovan Froisland in Improv, Jake Halvorson in Expository Address, Logan Kehoe in Reviewing, Holly Kirchhoff in Solo Musical Theatre and Storytelling, Gracie Vitzthum in Expository Address, Emie Wolter in Reviewing and Storytelling, Braden Sandven in Prose, Sydney Savery in Acting, Aneisha Sritharan in Original Oratory, Carter Theesfeld in After Dinner Speaking, Adalynn Lawman in Spontaneous Speech, Tanner McKimmey in Improv, Luke Sievers in Acting, Elle Clark in Solo Musical Theatre, Taryn McKimmey in Storytelling, Brody Paterson in Prose and Public Address, and Dylan Saathoff in After Dinner Speaking. 29 One Ratings in all. Students who performed well and received DIvision Two ratings were: Adalynn Lawman in Literary Program, Tanner McKimmey in Radio News Announcing, Elle Clark in Acting, Kelly Manz in Solo Musical Theatre, and Collin Vik in Radio News Announcing. Well done, one and all.
  • Boys Basketball Banquet/potluck will be held March 10, in the Middle School cafeteria starting at 6:30. Each family is asked to bring two dishes and their own table service.
  • Wrestling banquet is Tuesday March 10 @ 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Please bring a hot dish, table service, salad and/or dessert. We will be honoring all high school wrestlers. Goal is 100% attendance. All wrestlers (boys and girls), managers, cheerleaders, family and friends are invited.
  • The Girls Basketball Banquet will be held on Friday March 6 at 6 pm in the MS cafeteria.   Please bring 2 dishes to share and your table service.  Lemonade will be provided.   All 9 - 12 players, managers, and parents are invited to attend.
  • The Girls Basketball team will be going to the state tournament on Thursday, March 5.   We will be leaving at 8am and returning around 6.   Please sign up in the office by Tuesday March 3 if you intend to go.
  • Current 10 and 11-grade students interested in taking the automotive classes next year need to see Mrs. Powers.
  • 2020 Seniors and Senior Parents- We are in need of photos for the senior video that will be shown at graduation and the senior breakfast. These photos can be throwbacks from middle school or earlier, or even present high school ones. We prefer group photos with fellow classmates. Help us remember all the fun memories we have made as a class! Send all your photos to 2020hhsseniorvideo@gmail.com 
  • Silver Cord Opportunity--- Sunday, March 29 at Oak Hill Church, 10:00 am until 1:30 pm. Responsibilities would be delivering plates of food to tables and then bussing tables and general clean-up afterwards. This is a church event, so proper attire is requested. Business casual would be best. There is a sign-up sheet in the office. Please sign up before March 23.
  • If you signed up to take the yearbook class next year, you have to apply because there are limited spots in the class. See your homeroom teacher or Mrs. K (room 20) for an application. Only next year's juniors and seniors can apply. Applications due March 31st.
  • Student Senate applications are available in the office. They are due back March 10. If you have any questions, please ask Mrs. Nielsen.
  • Do you like neon colors and blacklights? On Friday, March 6th, there will be a Throwback Glow Dance in the cafeteria from 8-11pm. Tickets will be $4 beforehand and $5 at the door. Tickets can be purchased from Mrs.K now, or during lunch beginning Thursday. No middle school students or guests/dates over 21 will be allowed in.  Any guests/dates that are not students at HHS will need to be registered in the office. 
  • Current sophomores and juniors interested in attending the Career Academy next year, see Mrs. Powers for an application.
