  • If you are giving blood today—log in to before you go to donate blood. Doing this ahead of time will make the process much quicker.
  • Boys Golf-there is a sign up sheet in the office. There will be a short meeting on Tuesday, March 10 in the little aud after school.
  • Supper and Song, Thursday--Supper will be served starting at 5 p.m., (freewill donation) supper of chili or chicken noodle soup. Concert starts at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium, music by 6-12 choirs, admission is $3 adults, $2 students.
  • On April 4th the music boosters will be having a Table for Tunes fundraiser at Our Saviours Lutheran Church. There will be a catered meal, silent auction, and entertainment from the schools music departments. Meal is at 5:00 and entertainment starts at 5:30. Tickets are $20 and will be on sale Thursday night at Supper and Song.
  • Boys basketball players, 9-12, that plan on going with the team to the state tournament on March 12, sign up in the office by Friday morning.
  • Boys Basketball Banquet/potluck will be held March 10, in the Middle School cafeteria starting at 6:30. Each family is asked to bring two dishes and their own table service.
  • Wrestling banquet is Tuesday March 10 @ 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Please bring a hot dish, table service, salad and/or dessert. We will be honoring all high school wrestlers. Goal is 100% attendance. All wrestlers (boys and girls), managers, cheerleaders, family and friends are invited.
  • The Girls Basketball Banquet will be held on Friday March 6 at 6 pm in the MS cafeteria.   Please bring 2 dishes to share and your table service.  Lemonade will be provided.   All 9 - 12 players, managers, and parents are invited to attend.
  • The Girls Basketball team will be going to the state tournament on Thursday, March 5.   We will be leaving at 8am and returning around 6.   Please sign up in the office by Tuesday March 3 if you intend to go.
  • Current 10 and 11-grade students interested in taking the automotive classes next year need to see Mrs. Powers.
  • 2020 Seniors and Senior Parents- We are in need of photos for the senior video that will be shown at graduation and the senior breakfast. These photos can be throwbacks from middle school or earlier, or even present high school ones. We prefer group photos with fellow classmates. Help us remember all the fun memories we have made as a class! Send all your photos to 
  • Silver Cord Opportunity--- Sunday, March 29 at Oak Hill Church, 10:00 am until 1:30 pm. Responsibilities would be delivering plates of food to tables and then bussing tables and general clean-up afterwards. This is a church event, so proper attire is requested. Business casual would be best. There is a sign-up sheet in the office. Please sign up before March 23.
  • If you signed up to take the yearbook class next year, you have to apply because there are limited spots in the class. See your homeroom teacher or Mrs. K (room 20) for an application. Only next year's juniors and seniors can apply. Applications due March 31st.
  • Student Senate applications are available in the office. They are due back March 10. If you have any questions, please ask Mrs. Nielsen.
  • The Math Department is looking for people to help cut and serve pie and donate pies for our annual Pi Day celebration.  Since Pi Day is on a Saturday this year, we plan to celebrate on Friday, March 13.  Pies can be brought to the auditorium lobby before school on Friday, March 13. Remember, we do not have refrigeration, so please no cream pies. Cherry, apple, pumpkin, blueberry, etc work best. We also have students with nut allergies, so please no pies with nuts. Thank you to all that have signed up to bring pies. We are still in need of approximately 20 pies to feed the whole school.  
  • Current juniors interested in taking classes on ICCC campus next year see Mrs. Powers.
  • Northwest Iowa League of Cities High School Senior Scholarship Program-Deadline: April 1, 2020, See Mrs. Powers for application. The program is open to any high school senior residing in a paid membership community who is pursuing post-secondary education which may result in service to the city government.
  • Pearl Hull Falk Scholarship.  Deadline May 1, 2020. Each recipient of the Pearl Hull Falk Scholarship must be: 1. of the Protestant faith 2. a resident of the State of Iowa 3. a full-time student at the University of Iowa. At least one of the recipients must be a member of an Episcopal Church, and at least one must be a young man who shows interest in and promise for a career in banking. All recipients must be of good character and have a good scholastic record. See Mrs. Powers for application.
  • Do you like neon colors and blacklights? On Friday, March 6th, there will be a Throwback Glow Dance in the cafeteria from 8-11pm. Tickets will be $4 beforehand and $5 at the door. Tickets can be purchased from Mrs.K now, or during lunch beginning Thursday. No middle school students or guests/dates over 21 will be allowed in.  Any guests/dates that are not students at HHS will need to be registered in the office. 
  • Current sophomores and juniors interested in attending the Career Academy next year, see Mrs. Powers for an application.
  • Upcoming College Rep visits:
    • March 10, 11:30-Upper Iowa University will be here on Tuesday,
