Humboldt Homecoming Week is September 30 thru October 4. These are the elementary spirit days:
Monday - Character Counts Colors
- 1st grade wears GREEN for RESPONSIBILITY
- 2nd grade wears ORANGE for FAIRNESS
- 3rd grade wears RED for CARING
- 4th grade wears PURPLE for CITIZENSHIP
Tuesday - Pajama/Sweats Day
Wednesday - Country/Western Day
Thursday - Jersey/Favorite Team Day
Friday - BLUE and GOLD Day; Go Wildcats!
Please refrain from applying face or hair paint on your child as we celebrate Homecoming week. Thank you!
National Walk to School Day October 2nd. Mr. Bruder has selected two consecutive days you may walk to school with him. On Wednesday, October 2, he will meet the students at John Brown Park. The walk to Taft will begin at 7:30 a.m.. On Thursday, October 3, he will meet students at the Old Football Field (soccer field) walking to Taft at 7:30 a.m.. Parents are invited to join the walk. Students will be able to eat breakfast at school as normal. Let’s see if we can get a lot of you to walk to school with Mr. Bruder!
Humboldt County Little Clover Kids - This is a program offered once a month for students in grades Kindergarten through 3rd Grade. Registration forms will be sent home with all 1st-3rd grade students this week. Registration is due to the Humboldt County Extension office by September 25th. Sessions begin in October. Humboldt REC Department registration for boys and girls cross country in 3rd-8th grade and boys and girls basketball for 1st-6th
grade were sent home with students this week. The forms can be turned in at the REC Center or register online at https://secure.rec1.com/IA/humboldt-ia/catalog.
Music Booster Activity Calendars are available in the offices while supplies last. The cost is $5.00 each.
Student and Adult Activity Passes are available for purchase in the offices. Adult passes are a ten punch ticket for $45. Student activity tickets are $50 for grades KG - 4th and $55 for grades 5th - 12th. These passes are good for all athletic activities except benefits games and tournaments.
