Note from Mr. Fedders:
Hello, Taft Families!
Starting this week, we’ll be sharing a weekly highlight for each of our grade levels here at Taft. These can include anything from an interesting subject/activity, student accomplishments, or important event.
1st graders have completed and returned their September Wildcat Reading Logs and many of our students have met their goal of reading 20 books!
2nd graders are quite successful with accessing google classroom and can now get there easily without much assistance.
3rd graders are learning how to use technology as a way to extend their learning in all their curriculum through Google Classroom, Flipgrid, And Kahoots, just to name a few.
4th grade students have been learning about the electrical system with the goal of finding a solution to the blackout problem of a fictitious town named Ergsto.
PATHS is offering you the opportunity to participate in the fall fundraiser since we will be unable to have a bake sale. There is some awesome Wildcat gear you can purchase. These make great gifts for birthdays, Christmas or just for yourself! Just go to https://personali-tees-humboldt-iowa.myshopify.com/collections/paths and put in your order! Thank you for supporting our students!
Box Tops for Education - The process of clipping box tops is currently being phased out, please send in any clipped box tops as soon as possible as many are about ready to expire. We can not submit any expired box tops. Please start using the new box top app. Attached are a list of current boxtop products and information on how to download the new app. After purchase simply scan your receipt on the box top app and it automatically submits them to our school total! Each box top is worth 10 cents for our school. Please share this information with your family and friends so they can continue to support our elementary schools by scanning instead of clipping!
Taft is currently collecting pop tabs to support the Ronald McDonald house in Iowa. Please send any pop tabs you have to school with your child if you would like to donate them to this great cause! If you’d like more information about the program check out their website: https://www.rmhdesmoines.org/get-involved/other-ways-to-help
