Note from Mr. Fedders:
Good afternoon, Taft Families!
The highlight that our grade level teams wanted to share this week was our Fall party from Thursday. Students enjoyed the hayrack ride; thanks to Clint Hartmann and Brad Brodale for their work in setting this up and running it on Thursday! We also want to thank PATHS for providing a prepackaged snack for all students to enjoy. It was different from what’s happened in the past, but students and teachers were able to make the most of the day!
Due to the early dismissal, there will be NO after school program on Monday November 2nd.
The PATHS wildcat apparel orders will be sent home on Monday November 2nd. Thank you for your support!
The Humboldt High School Volleyball team qualified for the State Tournament!!! They play Osage at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2nd at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse (formerly US Cellular Center) in Cedar Rapids. For ticket, arena and parking information use the following link: https://ighsau.org/news/2020-state-volleyball-tournament-central/

As a reminder, conferences have shifted from Monday night to Tuesday night. The times will be kept the same. Our signup link will still say Monday, November 2nd, but you will receive a link for Tuesday next week from the classroom teacher. If you have not already signed up for your parent teacher conference please do so today. You can access the signup via this link: https://www.myconferencetime.com/humboldt/. If you need to meet in person due no home internet connection please contact your child’s teacher.
Parents, if you feel your child has lost something, the lost and found will be available on Friday October 30 from 8:00-4:00 and Thursday November 5th during conferences from 4:00-7:30.
With the colder weather here, please help your students remember warm coats, hats, gloves (snowpants and boots too for snow). If you are in need of assistance obtaining these items, please contact the school as we have received a generous donation of various items and can also recommend different programs in the community.
The public Health Flu Clinic will be at the Humboldt County Fairgrounds Event Center on Wednesday, October 28th at 2:00-6:30 pm and on Wednesday, November 4th at 2:00-6:30. Please see the flyer for more information.
