Note from Mr. Fedders:

Good afternoon!

The winter weather seemed to hit us early the past few weeks; thanks for remembering to send snow boots, snow pants, hats, and gloves with your child this week with the first snowfall.  When snow is on the ground, please continue sending these items as students cannot go on the playground/snow-covered areas without them.  It is okay to leave them at school if you would like, but please remind students to bring them home each weekend to get washed; otherwise, the hallways can become quite stinky!

Last Friday, we celebrated Veteran’s Day here at Taft.  Our grade levels each had some different learning planned for their students.  First grade had a few read-alouds throughout the week to begin teaching students about the sacrifice and service of our Veteran’s. 2nd and 3rd graders wrote cards to soldiers/the VA clinic, and 4th grade was fortunate to have Nate Ruby and Jeremy Stattelman share with the grade level about their service in the military.  Thank you to all of our Veteran’s!

Are you looking for some Wildcat Gear for Christmas gifts? PATHS is having a fundraiser! Orders are due November 28 and will be sent home with your child before Christmas break. LINK

Lost and Found - Please see these photos for lost items. Please contact Cassie Hartmann or your child’s teacher to claim item(s). Anything left after Thanksgiving break will be donated.

With the colder weather here, please help your students remember warm coats, hats, gloves( snow pants and boots too for snow). If you are in need of assistance obtaining these items, please contact the school as we have received a generous donation of various items and can also recommend different programs in the community.

Lunch reminder - if you plan to eat with your child, you need to call the office by 9 AM so that we can get an accurate lunch count.  We will not be able to serve adult lunches if you have not called ahead.
