  • Band concert-grades 7-12, Monday, March 9 7:00PM in the high school auditorium. Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for students.
  • Dance Team Banquet—Monday, March 9 @ 5:30, potluck.
  • GLOW DANCE IS TONIGHT from 8-11pm. Cost is $4 at lunch or with Mrs. K today. $5 at the door. There will be bottled water for sale for $1 at the dance. 
  • Thank you to all who participated in the blood drive! Here are the official results:
    • 47 people on the schedule going into the drive
    • 48 registered to donate
    • 32 first time donors!!!
    • 39 were able to donate
    • 45 units of blood collected!!!
    • Up to 135 lives saved or sustained!!!!
  • There is a sign up in the HS Media Center for all students who are interested in football cheer next Fall. If you have any questions please contact Pam Stalpes.
  • Boys Golf-there is a sign up sheet in the office. There will be a short meeting on Tuesday, March 10 in the little aud after school.
  • Girls Golf meeting Tuesday March 10 in the media center right after school.
  • On April 4th the music boosters will be having a Table for Tunes fundraiser at Our Saviours Lutheran Church. There will be a catered meal, silent auction, and entertainment from the schools music departments. Meal is at 5:00 and entertainment starts at 5:30. Tickets are $20.
  • Boys basketball players, 9-12, that plan on going with the team to the state tournament on March 12, sign up in the office by Friday morning.
  • Boys Basketball Banquet/potluck will be held March 10, in the Middle School cafeteria starting at 6:30. Each family is asked to bring two dishes and their own table service.
  • Wrestling banquet is Tuesday March 10 @ 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. Please bring a hot dish, table service, salad and/or dessert. We will be honoring all high school wrestlers. Goal is 100% attendance. All wrestlers (boys and girls), managers, cheerleaders, family and friends are invited.
  • The Girls Basketball Banquet will be held on TODAY at 6 pm in the MS cafeteria.   Please bring 2 dishes to share and your table service.  Lemonade will be provided.   All 9 - 12 players, managers, and parents are invited to attend.
  • Current 10 and 11-grade students interested in taking the automotive classes next year need to see Mrs. Powers.
  • Current juniors interested in taking classes on ICCC campus next year see Mrs. Powers.
  • Current sophomores and juniors interested in attending the Career Academy next year, see Mrs. Powers for an application.
  • 2020 Seniors and Senior Parents- We are in need of photos for the senior video that will be shown at graduation and the senior breakfast. These photos can be throwbacks from middle school or earlier, or even present high school ones. We prefer group photos with fellow classmates. Help us remember all the fun memories we have made as a class! Send all your photos to 2020hhsseniorvideo@gmail.com 
  • Silver Cord Opportunity--- Sunday, March 29 at Oak Hill Church, 10:00 am until 1:30 pm. Responsibilities would be delivering plates of food to tables and then bussing tables and general clean-up afterwards. This is a church event, so proper attire is requested. Business casual would be best. There is a sign-up sheet in the office. Please sign up before March 23.
  • If you signed up to take the yearbook class next year, you have to apply because there are limited spots in the class. See your homeroom teacher or Mrs. K (room 20) for an application. Only next year's juniors and seniors can apply. Applications due March 31st.
  • Student Senate applications are available in the office. They are due back March 10. If you have any questions, please ask Mrs. Nielsen.
  • Prom Reminders- When ordering prom tuxes this year please support these businesses:  Floral Creations donates $5 back to after prom for every tux rented and Foleys in Fort Dodge donates $8 back to us. Parents of prom goers, please remember to send your $30 suggested donation to the office labeled:  After Prom. With your help we can make this event a success.
  • Upcoming College Rep visits:
    • March 10, 11:30-Upper Iowa University will be here on Tuesday,
  • Northwest Iowa League of Cities High School Senior Scholarship Program-Deadline: April 1, 2020. See Mrs. Powers for application. The program is open to any high school senior residing in a paid membership community who is pursuing post-secondary education which may result in service to the city government.
  • Pearl Hull Falk Scholarship.  Deadline May 1, 2020. Each recipient of the Pearl Hull Falk Scholarship must be: 1. of the Protestant faith 2. a resident of the State of Iowa 3. a full-time student at the University of Iowa. At least one of the recipients must be a member of an Episcopal Church, and at least one must be a young man who shows interest in and promise for a career in banking. All recipients must be of good character and have a good scholastic record. See Mrs. Powers for application.
  • Pre-College Programs at Stevens Institute of Technology-Stevens Pre-College allows students to participate in hands-on, project-based learning; experience campus life; visit leading companies, and make their college applications stand out. Stevens offers opportunities to discover collegiate life both in and out of the classroom.
