● Next Week (4/29 – 5/3) the art club is sponsoring Art Week at HHS: Monday – Art Club Cookout Meeting from 5:30-7:00 PM – all are welcome Tuesday – Selected artists travel to the NCC art show in Iowa Falls – wish them luck Wednesday – Senior Art Show in the auditorium lobby before Senior Awards Night – come talk with the artists, refreshments will be available Thursday – Community Art Mural begins in Dakota City at the recycling building – stop in to see progress throughout the month of may Friday – Chalk the Walk positive support for the Color Run – there will be chalk available if others would like to join in the fun.

● Mrs. Lane would like all students to have their elective courses selected by May 3rd. If you need to sign up for a college course please see her before this date to ensure your spot. If you have specific questions please contact her through email or set up a meeting time with her.
● Seniors, decision day is May 1st. If you know what you are doing next year (college, work, military, gap year, etc) Mrs. Lane would love to have you stop in her office to help show off your class and the “Places you are Going”. Even if you are undecided she wants to see each senior by May 1st.
● Juniors and Seniors–The Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) Program within the Bureau of Performance at the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services is seeking an intern to assist with compiling and interpreting Iowa’s adult-reported Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) surveillance findings. The intern
will assist on a specific project to prepare data and visualizations that communicate findings related to risk
behaviors, chronic health conditions, and mental health. The BRFSS Program Intern may also be involved in
assisting the BRFSS Epidemiologist with ACEs-related data requests and dashboards during the internship

● 6th through 12th grade students in band and choir will be selling flowers ahead of Mother’s Day.
The fundraiser runs until April 30th. Flower pick-up by the buyers is May 10th @ Humboldt Hy-Vee during
business hours.
● Senior Music Banquet will be held on May 4th at 6:00 in the middle school cafeteria.
● FCA meetings will be May 1 and May 8. Meetings are at 6:15, 201 12th Street SW.
● Cat Café is open on Fridays 7:20-8:45.
● Wildcat Warrior’s Game Club will meet every Monday and Thursday in the media center from 3:30-5:30. Bring a
new game to teach or come and learn a new game. Many new games Gloomhaven, Marvel Dice Throne, Turing
