Good afternoon!
We had a fun week at Mease this week with our dress-up days – thank you to all who participated in these! If you are planning to attend the football game tonight, please review expectations with your students when they are away from you. Students should avoid congregating/playing near the restroom/concession stand area. Students are able to gather in the long jump area south of the MS student section bleachers, but football/other contact games are not to be played. I’m sure we will have a great fan turnout, so thanks in advance for discussing these – Go Cats!
Please be on the lookout for the Lion’s Club vision screening permission form that was sent home with your child. Please fill these out and send it back to school by
Sept 27th. This is a free service offered to our students to help assess visual difficulties.
This does count for the vision screening requirement for kindergarten. If you have any questions or need a new form feel free to contact the office, your child’s teacher or the school nurse.
Cheer Clinic Announcement: If it is raining at 6:00 tonight the Cheer Clinic Participants will perform at the October 13th game.
Special Olympics clothing orders may be placed online. Last day to order is September 25. LINK
Lunch reminder – if you plan to eat with your child, you need to call the office by 9 AM so that we can get an accurate lunch count. We will not be able to serve adult lunches if you have not called ahead.
PICTURES: You should have received an email from Midwest Portraits on September 21st so you can view and order school pictures. If your child needs retakes or was absent on September 14, please let the school office know by contacting Cassie Hartmann at chartmann@humboldt.k12.ia.us. Retake day is September 28th.
The Humboldt Dance Team will be hosting ‘fill the truck events’ over the next several weeks.
- Homecoming football game on September 22nd from 6-7:45pm we will be set up at the high school between the admission gate and concession stand. We will be collecting new and gently used clothing items and blankets for people in need.
- At all of these events, we will also have a bucket for monetary donations for local shelters.
