Good afternoon!
We have a busy last week ahead of us with an event every day it seems like! With Fun Days, Track Meets, and a Graduation, be sure to check out the important date section below. We look forward to celebrating after a year of hard work!
We will still have a 1-hour early dismissal this coming Wednesday. Friday is a 2-hour dismissal with it being the last day of school!
Our school supply online ordering closes this Friday. You can order online via the link below, and the packs are shipped to Taft for our Back to School conferences in August. Shop at https://www.educationalproducts.com/ShopPacks/; our school code is HCS003.
Humboldt School District and Opaa are teaming up to provide FREE BREAKFAST & LUNCHES throughout the summer. Taft Elementary Summer School will also participate in the Free Congregate Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to children participating in summer school without charge. Summer camps for this summer:
Girls entering 3-5th Grade: Girls Basketball Camp – June 3-5
Boys entering 3-8th Grade: Boys Basketball Camp – July 8th-11th
All entering 4-6th Grade: Youth Football Camp
The Humboldt County Fair invites girls completing 1st grade through 4th grade to participate in the Junior Miss contest. Please submit the Contest Form by midnight on July 12th, 2024. Junior Miss candidates will be introduced and asked one question on stage. We look forward to meeting you in the Polka Hall building at 6:45pm on Wednesday, July 24th, 2024. There is still time to order a yearbook! Deadline to order this year’s yearbook is Today. Yearbooks will be ordered during the summer and handed out at the beginning of the school year next year. Please contact Cassie Hartmann at chartmann@humboldt.k12.ia.us and send cash or check to the office if you would like to order one for your student. Yearbooks are $19.
Humboldt Athletic Booster Club is sponsoring its 2nd Annual Wildcat Tailgate Giveaway Friday June 7th between the JV and Varsity Softball games. Raffle tickets are $100.
