Good afternoon!

It was a rainy few days to end the week; inside recess for multiple days in a row is never ideal, but I appreciate student and teacher patience to make the best of it!  

Humboldt/TR Schools will hold conferences on Monday, October 23rd, and Thursday, October 26th.  We will dismiss 2 hours early, at 1:15, on Monday the 23rd AND Thursday the 26th.  We will NOT dismiss early on Wednesday but will hold a full day of school with dismissal at 3:15.  Also, there is no school on Friday, October 27th, as a conference comp day.  Please sign up for conferences at this link: https://www.myconferencetime.com/humboldt/

If your child is in need of winter gear, F.U.E.L. has resources to help. Contact the office or Student Services, 515-332-1430 ext.6234.

Friday, October 13 the cheerleading clinic participants will perform before the home football game. Please follow the instructions on the note which was given to you at the clinic. Please have the participants bring their pom pom they received as we have ordered more so they may have one of each color!! Humboldt County Extension and Outreach will be starting the Clover Kids program. Clover Kids is offered to Kindergarten through 3rd grade students. Registration forms will be sent home. Clover Kids

PATHS has SCRIP cards available anytime in our school office. Thank you for supporting Local & helping our students!  Purchasing these gift cards helps to fund educational experiences for our students. Stop into the office to purchase the gift cards. These will also be available to purchase during conferences. Cards Available

The BOLDT is having a coloring contest for their 2 year anniversary! There will be prizes for the winner. All you have to do is print a coloring page and add your child’s name, age, and return it to BOLDT by 10/20. Coloring Option 1  Coloring Option 2

Pheasants Forever Youth Day is Saturday, October 21 from 10 AM to 2 PM. Please see the flier for more information. Flier

F.U.E.L. will be accepting donations during conferences in the middle school cafeteria on Monday and by Room 1 in the high school on Thursday. The following hygiene items are needed: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, kids shampoo & body wash, kids toothpaste, and tide pods laundry detergent. See link for more options. Monetary donations are also welcome. Thank you for supporting our students!

Public Health will be offering flu shots during conferences! Flier They will be located at Taft & the Middle School. Consent Form

The high school dance team will be hosting a fill the truck event tonight at the Football Game. They will be collecting new and gently used clothing items and blankets for people in need.

Lunch reminder – if you plan to eat with your child, you need to call the office by 9 AM so that we can get an accurate lunch count.  We will not be able to serve adult lunches if you have not called ahead.
