Good afternoon!

Our 4th-grade “graduation ceremony is scheduled for Friday, May 24th at 9:00 in the High School Auditorium.  It will last approximately an hour and 10 minutes.  During our time together, we will have a few high school speakers share words of advice, a short music performance by our 4th graders, and a 4th grade “award ceremony.”  It is a great way to send our 4th graders off to the middle school!

Ride Your Bike to School Day

Monday, May 20, has been declared as Ride Your Bike to School Day. We will meet at the Humboldt Wildcat Soccer Field (also known as the old football field – north of Taft). There will be adults (with their bikes) to meet the boys and girls at 7:30 AM. The RIDE will officially start at 7:45. A route has been selected that will take the riders to the Humboldt County Fairgrounds and be given the opportunity to ride their bikes around the track. Then we will proceed to the shelter house at Taft Park, and there will be donuts and juice for everyone. Bike helmets are strongly encouraged. Parents, Grandparents, and Friends are welcome to ride with us. We will have a gator trailing the group of riders in case anyone needs assistance. Now is a good time to get all bicycles ready for summer fun. Do check tires, seats, etc. so the bicycles are safe to ride. After school, we will ride to the Soccer Field/Old Football Field for parents to meet their

children. Please let your child’s teacher know early next week if you plan to participate so we can get an accurate head count!
